++MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR

Hi, Everyone,

Thank you for all your prayers for me when I spoke at St. John’s in Blue Springs, MO last week.  This cough that continues to linger from a cold was in great form all that day.  Through your prayers and God’s grace, I never had a problem all during the 45 minutes of the talk!  This Sunday I ask for your prayers again when I speak at St. Joseph’s in Shawnee, KS.  As always, I invite all of you to attend if you are interested.  Come and say hello and let me know you are there.  And please pray for me during the presentation.  Without the prayers of the members of this Marian Mantle Group I would never be able to say what someone needs to hear.

       If you plan to be at St. Joseph’s this Sunday, the talk begins at 2pm.  It will take place in the old school building which is directly South of the church.  There will be a sign on the front doors directing you downstairs to the meeting room.  If you need more directions, email or phone me or the church.

       This should probably go under the “What’s New” section, but I am so excited about it I want to tell you personally.  If you have been to the web site lately, you will see that our image of Mary has changed.  This is the same image of Our Lady of  Sorrows  that I use in my presentation.  The California artist who painted the original, has graciously given me permission to use the image on the web site and to use it on a prayer card along with the prayer to Our Lady of Sorrows for the Return of Our Prodigal Catholics.  When I discovered this image of Our Lady of Sorrows, I was led to realize that Mary had also watched a grown child walk straight into trouble, and through it all her trust in God stayed firm.   I prayed that she would help me keep that same trust that God would care for my own child through it all.  The image was with me at the first talk and travels with us to every presentation.  Today it has several hundred names written on the mat surrounding it.

     Our Lady of Sorrows will wrap her mantle about you and your prodigal loved one, too.  If you ask , she will walk with you and carry your prayer to her Son Jesus.

     May God bless all of us and grant us His Peace.

Peace,

MaryAnn

PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR February 18, 2005

[Prayer intentions submitted to this group are shared only in the semi-weekly email update sent to members of the online prayer group.  Please keep all of us and our prodigals in your prayers--just as we will pray for you.]

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

We had 13 attendees [at our prayer group] last Thursday. Just amazing and true tribute our  beloved Mother Mary and her blessings. We may not see blessings immediately with our prodigals however the prayers that are being lifted up by all of the beautiful voices in our rosary group bring us all such comfort.    ~Kansas

GOD'S WORD FOR US

"Do not be afraid. I am the first and the last, the one who lives. Once I was dead, but now I am alive forever and ever. I hold the keys to death and the netherworld.   ~Rev 1:17-18

WORDS OF HOPE

Christ is alive.  He is not the great “I was,” He is the great “I am.”  He is not only a fact, but a living fact.
