Let us Decorate a Blessing Tree.
With all that happens from Thanksgiving into the New Year,
We are reminded of our blessings of yesterday and today,
and our hopes and
prayers for
tomorrow.
Let us enter this time of Our Lord's Birth with thanksgiving and praise on
our lips and an "attitude of gratitude" in our hearts. Please Share your
thoughts with us. You might help someone recognize their own
blessing and bring them peace during this season of holidays and holy
days.
Email your
comment(s). We will post your blessings and prayers as an
ornament. (Please include your State.) See the full
blessings/prayers on the chart below the ornaments.

When we went around the thanksgiving table
to hear what everyone was thankful for, every member of my family said
they were grateful for my improved health. They are truly my blessing. |
2. Bob,
KS |
My prayer on
Thursday was in thanks that our family still had all the women around our
table. (One had risky surgery and another had a bad car accident.
Both walked away without complications or injury.) |

laws remission from cancer; for my husband and all my children; for my

Unbelievable
but my son-in-law recently announced that he was interested in the
Catholic Church. He and I had been talking and discussing about the church
for many years. He surprised me the other day with the announcement that
he is going to RCIA and absolutely "loves it". He is so very excitable
over his new found religion. |

3. Prayer of
Hope --God of Love and Mercy, ease my burdens, calm my anxieties
strengthen my faith and increase my trust and confidence in Your caring
goodness. Grant me the courage I need, dear Lord, to face all
difficulties, knowing that with Your help, miracles happen and lives are
restored. Amen |

One of
many---came home late last night, parked in garage as usual. Went to pull
walker out of back seat--nothing there. My daughter forgot to put it in. I
cannot navigate without it--usually. I needed my 2 purses, bag of laundry,
pull along piece of luggage--all pieces that had my meds and other things
I had to have for bedtime. I grabbed those things, started praying and
slowly scuffled across middle of double garage in freezing cold, kept my
balance, and with minimal pain made it to breezeway door where I was able
to grab door knob for support. Sounds small, but one big accomplishment
without falling or injury. The point is--it was one time in my life I
could say with certainty that Jesus walked beside me.-Thank you God. |

This is an unsolicited
comment from someone whose granddaughter was baptized on Sunday - (I had
asked her if it was her granddaughter - because I wasn't sure of the
relationship).
Here is her response:
"That was our granddaughter that was baptized. I wanted to thank you for
St Monica's prayer warriors. I believe the prayers being offered by you
and all warriors is making a huge difference. This is the first of that
generation to be baptized Catholic. We can see the Holy Spirit working in
the family. Thank you!!" (We call our prayer group St. Monica's Prayer
Warriors) |

Thanksgiving for God’s
graces that got me and my husband through last year, and I pray for more
of the same for the new year.
It’s really tough to get old, and be able to accept all the daily
hardships, as I try to do to save souls, and pray for God’s will to be
done in our lives.
Oh God, hear our prayers for all of our prodigals, and the homeless.
